This privacy statement describes how Inkscreen LLC collects and uses the personal information you provide.
When you purchase licenses, request information through one of our channels (website, phone, email), request a trial, or sign up for Inkscreen updates at an event, your contact information will be added to our marketing database. At any time you have the full right and ability to unsubscribe or request your information be deleted from our database. Our outbound marketing activities are limited to infrequent announcements about products, services, and company news. Over the last five years we have averaged fewer than 9 such emails per year.
We do not sell or share your information with third parties. We do not utilize cookies or other tracking mechanisms on our website. The only information we collect is that which is expressly provided to us by you directly.
Some services in this application make use of location-based data. We do not collect this information. Rather, it is stored as metadata and stamped on content you create through the use of the app. You have the ability to deny access to location services at the initial launch of this app and through general settings.
Data Collection and Use
We do not collect any information on how you use the app. We do collect anonymous crash logs, which only identify the type of device, the operating system level on the device, and the version of CAPTOR installed. We collect this information so that we can monitor and improve the stability of the app.
Certain versions of CAPTOR invite the user to enter their name and email in order to be advised of future updates. Entering this information is completely optional.
Certain versions of CAPTOR require the user to authenticate through the Inkscreen Licensing Server. This process logs the username and a randomized device identifier. The collection of this data is for the sole purpose of validating the license and logging unique users against a license cap.
Sharing Your Information
We will not share your information with third parties unless one of the following situations arise:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process.
- when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
- if Inkscreen LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
Tracking and Ads
We do not collect any usage information other than anonymous crash logs, and we will never subject you to advertising within the app.
No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security, however we have taken extreme measures to develop and maintain this app in a manner that provides optimal data security for our users.
